Canada Day, COVID-19 testing and masks

Canada Day

As Canada Day is tomorrow, it’s important to remain vigilant. The risk of COVID-19 spread is lower outdoors. AHS recommends planning events outside with 2 meter physical distancing. Simple acts like wearing a mask when out in the public, washing our hands regularly and staying home when sick is the best way to protect ourselves and others.

Alberta Health Services

A reminder that COVID-19 testing is available for everyone whether you have symptoms or not. AHS is encouraging every Albertan to get tested. By getting tested, you’re helping AHS and the province better understand the extent of the disease and supports AHS and the Alberta government in monitoring and planning as Alberta re-opens. Booking a test is easy and can be completed online. Click here: novel coronavirus (COVID-19) Testing / Online Booking | Alberta Health Services. Some pharmacies will also start conducting COVID-19 tests for those who do not have symptoms. Reach out to your local pharmacy for more information.

Remember, if you have any of the symptoms listed below, stay home and complete the AHS self-assessment tool online COVID Self Assessment.
